[Remote] VP, People Business Partners & Talent Development

As the VP of People Business Partners & Talent Development, you will ensure the company’s culture is operationalized throughout the employee experience and oversee critical functions like the PBP and L&D teams. Responsibilities • Ensure our human and high performing culture is embedded in everything we do, throughout the duration of the end-to-end employee experience • Oversee the People Business Partner (PBP) team and the Learning & Development (L&D) team • Act as the strategic engine for our business units, partnering with leaders on workforce planning, org design, and high-level talent strategy • Design and deliver the Clio learning experience, including onboarding and leadership development • Unify the PBP and L&D functions to solve performance gaps with targeted learning interventions • Lead the strategy for identifying, developing, and transitioning top leadership talent • Oversee the transition to an AI-augmented learning environment • Refine our performance management philosophy to move towards continuous feedback and transparent career mobility • Ensure our people strategy remains cohesive across different time zones, cultures, and legal jurisdictions Skills • 10+ years of People Leadership: Significant experience leading high-growth People teams, with a deep background in both the Business Partner and Learning/Talent Development worlds • SaaS Savvy: You understand the metrics of a successful software business (ARR, Churn, LTV) and how talent strategy directly impacts those levers • Change Management Mastery: A proven track record of leading large-scale organizational shifts, including M&A integrations or major department re-orgs • Executive Presence: The ability to influence, challenge, and support a high-velocity executive team • A Product Mindset: Experience building internal people programs with the same rigor and iteration as a customer-facing software product • Bias for action and fostering high performing teams Benefits • Top-tier health benefits, dental, and vision insurance • $2000 annual counseling benefit • RRSP matching and RESP contribution • Clioversary recognition program with special acknowledgement at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years Company Overview • Clio provides cloud-based legal practice management software, helping law firms manage cases, billing, and client relationships.
