The Senior Tree Care Safety & Loss Control Specialist will work directly with tree care companies throughout North America to identify risk exposures, conduct safety assessments, and develop training content.
This position combines field-based loss control consulting with the development of industry-leading training programs and educational resources.
The ideal candidate has significant experience in tree care operations and understands climbing, rigging, aerial lift operations, equipment safety, crew management, and arboricultural best practices. Applicants must have experience in both risk management and tree care work to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Loss Control & Risk Management
Conduct on-site and virtual loss control assessments for clients
Evaluate safety practices, equipment, training programs, and operational procedures
Prepare written reports and recommendations for clients.
Assist clients with risk reduction strategies and safety program improvements
Perform worksite safety inspections and operational reviews
Training Development
Develop online and instructor-led training content for tree care professionals
Create course materials, presentations, videos, assessments, and supporting resources
Assist in the development of leadership, technical skills, and safety curriculum
Support the delivery of training programs through instructors and industry partners
Consulting & Industry Support
Conduct competency assessments and safety consultations in the field.
Support incident reviews and corrective action planning
Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Maintain relationships with arborists, contractors, municipalities, and utility clients
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in tree care, arboriculture, utility vegetation management, or related industry
Strong knowledge of climbing, rigging, aerial lift operations, chainsaw safety, and worksite safety practices
Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, or operational assessments
Experience delivering training or presenting to groups
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel throughout North America as required
Preferred Qualifications
ISA Certified Arborist
CTSP (Certified Treecare Safety Professional)
OSHA Outreach Trainer (10/30)
Utility vegetation management experience
Experience developing online training content
Consulting or loss control experience

Salary Range
$80,000—$100,000 USD
