Sr Dir, Underwriting - Remote, Certified Actuary (FSA/ASA)

ASA or FSA Required

Responsible for the development and underwriting of new product financial and programmatic cost models as well as working with the existing models and customers on product enhancements and modifications. This position will work with the strategic business units within the company as well as various departments including the Finance department. This position will report to the VP, Underwriting and will partner with the VP, Underwriting by preparing analyses and various ad-hoc projects for executive management.The job duties listed above are representative and not intended to be all-inclusive of what may be expected of an employee assigned to this job. Knowledge of underwriting principles in a managed care environment.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to self-start and work independently.
Good analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and must be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
Willingness to learn new product lines and adapt to changing environment.
Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office Product suite, specifically Excel, and experience with managing large data sets with tools such as MS Access.
Actuarial pricing experience required.
