Staff Physician, Primary Care – Telemedicine

Job Description: • Work with a healthcare team to provide patients with exceptional primary care services virtually via video and phone communication channels, within the standard of care for primary care patients. • Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate. • Be accessible to the Care Team to solve problems and keep the entire panel well cared for in a timely manner. • Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options. • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions, including discussing potential side effects and risks associated with allergies, interactions with other medications and/or health conditions as appropriate. • Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing. • Consistently meet or exceed clinical quality and patient care standards, including adhering to department policies, procedures, and objectives. • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws. • Record complete, timely and legible medical records. • Attendance at meetings, 1:1 provider assessments and other required meetings as deemed by leadership. • Demonstrate familiarity with and provide support as needed for the full range of Teladoc services including medical second opinion, treatment decision support, behavioral health, tele-dermatology and other service offerings. • Support the Medical Director and product team in the development of new products and services, as needed. • Collaborative oversight of advanced practice providers as required by business needs. Requirements: • 5+ years post-residency experience as a Primary Care Physician in a clinical setting • ABMS board certification in primary care or related field from successful completion of a residency at an accredited healthcare institution in Family Medicine or IM/Peds • M.D. or D. O. degree from an accredited United States medical school • Must hold a minimum of 3 active, unrestricted State Medical Practitioner licenses • No disciplinary actions within the last 5 years • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) eligible • Must reside in the United States and not require sponsorship Benefits: • Health insurance • Retirement plans • Paid time off • 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually • 8 hours of PTO per semi-monthly pay period
