Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Teleradiologist to join our second shift team. This role is crucial for maintaining our commitment to 24/7 diagnostic availability, providing emergency diagnostic radiology services at a Level 1 trauma center in Des Moines, Iowa as well as additional hospitals across central Iowa. Second shift volume averages 13-18 RVUs / hour. Shift: M- F, 4:00 pm – 12:00 am CST Schedule: 26 weeks/year; rotate every other week; no weekends or holidays Responsibilities: • Analyze and interpret various forms of radiological data during the evening shift, including X-rays, MRI scans, CT scans, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging studies; includes stroke work up and CTA perfusion – neurorad fellowship not necessary • Provide timely, accurate, and detailed reports to facilitate immediate patient care decisions. • Consult with on-call physicians or other healthcare providers to discuss clinical conditions and imaging results. • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and practice guidelines concerning radiological practices. • Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement programs to enhance service standards and patient safety. Qualifications: • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a residency in Radiology. • Board certified in Radiology. • Hold or be eligible for a medical license in the state of Iowa. • Demonstrated proficiency in emergency radiology is preferred. • Strong technical skills with radiological information systems and PACS. • Excellent communication skills.
