They are seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to support multiple functional areas within the Finance organization, executing complex accounting activities and ensuring accuracy during the transition to Workday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries (accruals, prepaids, intercompany, property-related entries, etc.)
- Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
- Research accounting issues, investigate variances, and recommend corrections to the Accounting Manager
- Manage accounting for multi-entity structures, including fixed assets, AP accruals, prepaids, and property accounting
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and external reporting requirements
- Support the Workday ERP transition by validating data, assisting with testing, and helping refine processes—without compromising day-to-day close responsibilities
- Partner with reimbursement, finance, and ERP project teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting
- Develop, improve, and maintain reporting structures across the general ledger and asset modules
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance on accounting procedures and audit readiness
- Communicate financial results, variances, and root causes to leadership and cross-functional partners
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of recent operational accounting experience (not solely project/program work)
- Strong background in multi-entity accounting within large or complex organizations
- Strong technical accounting foundation and thorough understanding of GAAP
- Hands-on experience with fixed assets, banking reconciliations, and project accounting
- Proven ability to prepare and review complex journal entries and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups; macros a plus)
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
- Healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Experience working in an ERP environment; Workday strongly preferred
- Clear, professional communication—verbal and written
- High accountability and reliability, especially during month-end close
- Proactive problem-solving and ownership mentality
- Adaptable and comfortable flexing across multiple finance domains as needed
