The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 to support the Pinchot Forest District. This role involves managing purchasing, budgeting, and office operations to ensure district programs run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare purchasing documents, review requests, and process transactions using state procurement systems
- Maintain district budgets, monitor spending, and prepare financial summaries and reports
- Process HR transactions, maintain employee records, and assist with workers compensation documentation
- Process fire bills, travel reimbursements, and dispatch communications for wildfire and emergency responses
- Provide support for payroll, timekeeping, receptionist duties, and general office coordination
- Issue wood permits, camping permits, and other district authorizations while maintaining accurate logs
Skills
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training
- You must meet the PA residency requirement
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
