The Director of Brand & Social Media will develop and implement brand strategies, oversee social media leadership, and lead content creation to enhance brand presence and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the holistic owned-brand strategies aligned to company goals and customer insights. Oversee partnerships, social media and public relations to drive financial and brand growth goals
- Lead brand campaigns that drive emotional connection and build long-term equity
- Ensure consistent brand expression across all channels (social, digital, in-store, experiential)
- Define and execute the social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, emerging channels)
- Oversee influencers, community management, real-time engagement, and customer interactions to build loyal communities
- Monitor trends, sentiment, and platform innovation to keep the brand at the forefront of culture
- Lead the creation of compelling content that inspires, informs, and connects with audiences
- Collaborate with Creative and external agencies to produce on-brand photo, video, and editorial content
- Establish a content calendar aligned with seasonal initiatives, brand moments, and social trends
- Build and scale influencer and creator partnerships that amplify brand storytelling and drive measurable impact
- Identify, negotiate, and manage influencer relationships, campaigns, and collaborations
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of brand, social, and influencer marketing professionals
- Partner with Retail, E-commerce, PR, and Product teams to ensure integrated, customer-centric marketing campaigns
- Set KPIs, track performance, and analyze results to inform strategies
- Continuously optimize content, messaging, and campaigns based on data, insights, and customer feedback
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus
- 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, social media, or related roles, ideally within retail, lifestyle, or consumer brands
- Proven experience building iconic brands and leading major social media and influencer programs
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and storytelling skills
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, content creation, paid social media strategies, and emerging trends
- Experience working with creative teams, agencies, and influencer management platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Passion for innovation, culture, community, and customer experience
- Experience in high-growth retail, fashion, beauty, or consumer brands
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
