Sonova Group is a leader in the medical devices industry, and they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive the successful execution of critical projects. This role involves managing project plans, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and fostering collaboration across departments to support organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and contingency strategies
- Implement robust risk management processes and ensure adherence to project objectives and success criteria
- Provide regular status updates, financial performance reports, and ensure alignment with business priorities
- Act as the primary liaison between project teams and stakeholders across departments such as R&D, Operations, Quality, and Legal
- Facilitate collaboration to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements
- Oversee multiple project workstreams, monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve conflicts promptly
- Evaluate trade-offs between scope, complexity, and cost to maintain project integrity
- Drive continuous improvement in project management practices, including standardization of workflows and documentation
- Promote best practices and coach teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain transparent and proactive communication with sponsors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure alignment on objectives, milestones, and deliverables
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years equivalent work experience
- Ability to thoroughly analyze complex systems and situations
- Willingness and ability to take and assume timely decisions with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to re-prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to instruct & coach a team with appreciation and questioning of teams' work & results
- Ability to assess project risks and plan accordingly / take preventative action
- Assess project status and team members' reports
- Understanding of feasibility and risks related to project management
- Ability to evaluate technical reports outside their own background
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project
- English Fluency (written and spoken)
- A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
- PMP Certification
- SCRUM Master
- 6+ years experience as a Project Manager for medical device, class 3 electromechanical medical devices (active implantable devices)
- Proficiency with Jira, Jama, Polarian, OnePlan, Oracle Agile PLM
- German / Spanish / French fluency
