We are seeking a customer-focused Systems Engineer, Technical Sales Specialist to serve as a technical advisor, designing and presenting enterprise datacenter solutions that address complex business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive datacenter solutions including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and software
- Partner with the sales team throughout the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise and solution recommendations
- Deliver customer presentations, technical demonstrations, and solution architecture discussions
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and solution specifications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and channel partners
- Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with project management and implementation teams to ensure successful solution delivery
- Evaluate project risks, timelines, and resource requirements during solution design
- Maintain current industry knowledge and manufacturer certifications
- Support additional technical initiatives as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience designing enterprise datacenter infrastructure and solutions
- Strong knowledge of servers, storage, networking, virtualization, operating systems, and enterprise software
- Experience presenting technical solutions in customer-facing environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Dell Technical Architect
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP
- VMware VCP
- Palo Alto PSE, PCNSE, or PCNSC
